I've finally managed to bank my target fish of the last few years, having traveled thousands of miles back wards and forwards to Norfolk in my quest.

Bay Face Specimen Fish After catching nearly all the notable fish in the lake I started to wonder how or if I would ever catch this carp. I had been so close so many times on the surface, I am sure I had lost it on a zig. I had pulled off the lake a few times and she came from the swim I'd just vacated. I had had plenty of bad luck!

But on Monday June the 25th lady luck was on my side, and I finally slid the net under this huge carp, the relief was immense I've never felt so happy to get a carp on the bank. Baby face weighed in at 52lb 4oz and has equalled the Norfolk record. This will be one episode of my angling life I will never forget.
